An Apartment in the City explores how spaces store and transmit memories. In their new performance, Magdalena Mitterhofer and Shade Théret examine what shapes spaces and how they become imbued with mythical significance. Which traces are inscribed in their architecture, and which fade into oblivion over time?
The duo employs poetic, gestural, and vocal strategies, often using re-staging, deconstruction, and digital fragmentation. The reduced spatial structure of their performances renders complex emotional tensions tangible on both a physical and visual level. The result is a poetic space for a collective exploration of vulnerability, power, and representation.

With SCAFFOLDING, the Künstler:innenhaus Bremen presents a new exhibition series for the institution, focused on performance, which takes place in the empty gallery space between deinstallation and installation.
